Task

You have a set of six definitions of e-learning/ILT (Information and Learning Technologies) taken from a variety of sources. In your groups discuss these definitions and their individual merits. Decide which one you favour as a group and give a rationale for your decision.

Definitions

1.

E-learning is seen as “learning supported or enhanced by the educational exploitation (utilisation) of ICT.” (adapted from Alan Noble)

2.

www.e-learningsite.com

The delivery of formal and informal learning and training activities, processes, communities and events via the use of all electronic media like Internet, intranet, extranet, CD-Rom, video, DVD, TV, cell phones, personal organisers etcetera

5.
